resveratrol (from red wine) is a very interesting compound - it has been shown to have low bioavailability when taken orally and it has a very short half life. It has also been demonstated to stimulate the immune system and act as a chemopreventive agent at low concentrations yet it is toxic at higher concentrations (in vitro tests). It is currently in clinical trials as a cancer prevention agent...enjoy the wine like I do but lets wait for the clinical data. What are the dosages that are sold in capsules in health shops, just curious?
I've never done an autopsy but I'm told by people who have done them that winos have veins like a baby....completely soft and pliable. Their liver's are like pate ...but their veins were plaque free.
Couldn't resist. Most of us here will be dead before the clinical data is complete on wine. It takes decades on non patented products to get the medicial community's approval. For me there's enough evidence on wine to drink for my health. It is hard to believe but there are still doctors out there who say vitamins and supplements are worthless.
Yes ....it was. I also had cup of Olive Oil and a half a cup of flower to make a dark deep roux. A quart of chicken stock. Then new mexico chili powder, Cali chili powder, a touch of cayenne, some cumin, paprika, lots of garlic, salt , pepper. Two pounds of ripe tomatoes. Then one chopped onion, two celeryâs, two carrots and a bell pepper and two pounds of Andouille. Simmered until done. Then add one pound of shrimp and a white fish (snapper or tilapia) for five minutes. Serve and munch. Eat until arteries clogged. Follow with copious amounts of vino. Then fuck like two monkeyâs in heat Then Padron 1964 Anniversario That, friends is the antidote for cancer.
intersting notes about Longevinex, a resveratrol product, they worked out a way to make it more bioabailable apparently but the author is skeptical about effectiveness: http://www.fightaging.org/archives/000214.php Bill Sardi is a good guy and an honest guy, I have spoken with him, he is associated with purityproducts.com and I notice that they don't seem to have longevinex on their product list anymore, maybe they found out it was not bioavailable after all and are reformulating it.... my package of longevinex says "15 mg of stabilized polyphenols", some from red wine and some from Giant Knotweed.
