About a half year ago, i did a trial with this guy. When you take a look at his statements you will notice"break-even trades not listed" well, this guy does a lot of BE-trades. Also, there's a big difference between making a call to get in or out at a certain price and getting an actual trade filled at that price. Although his method has something going for it, his statements suck. i think you should deduct AT LEAST 2 ticks for every trade this guy calls. he does about 10 to 20 trades a day and on average makes 1 to 1.25 pts per trade. Deduct at least 0.5 pt/trade and take into account the so called Be-trades and you have a system that doesn't do much better than BE BEFORE COMMISSIONS.
I am familiar with the Tactrade site and chat room. I trade in there. He trades two contracts, so the 70 or so points on Friday is for 2 contracts not per contract. Today the gain was ~28 pts. Barry is a very dynamic trader, and yes, he has a lot of break even trades, then again the commissions on 20 b/e trades is equivalent to a loss of one point on 2 contracts His method is based on price action, support/resistance and proprietary momentum indicators. Typically, two contracts are put on and the first taken off with 1.5 to 2 pts profit. The second contract runs. Stuart
"scratching" a trade is the sign of a pro - not sure about the rest of the this guys methodology, but that alone would not bother me. nitro
