YES....and enjoy the weekend, and have a Happy New Year... BTW, I hope everyone stays out of the market on Monday...just so I can have all the "free money"..
What size of an acct or amount of money does each person have to use for this ?? This way we all have a level playing field.........be it 500k 1 mill 5 mill you let us know so we have a better understanding of the basic rules...........
@Pej Hedge Fund Manager - Oh please. What performance track record will you use? Will it be the one in which you lost your secretary's money a while back? Or, will it be the one Dan Gibby established while you were in Iran? Or how about that crashed Portfolio service??? Remember the one that was over DOWN 40% in a couple of months? @Tony Didn't you publicly admit that you had a down year in 2000? So you are having a profitable year and you tell us all how great you are? Give me a break. Good traders do not have a losing year! @Chris You are a piece of work man. I wish you the best, but you need some help. This may beyond Linda's skills. Regardless, I think that you are a sensitive two-face back-stubbing fellow. @Brandon You are a good person, but a horrible trader. You are an example of those who can't teach. Too bad teach me to trade stiffed you. Otherwise you'd still be in the biz. @Ken You are the greatest fraud of them all. "Who's your daddy?" Can you honestly say that you have an account with a direct access broker in which you have placed more than 50 trades a month this last year? I dare you to have a direct access trading account audited and posted on your site. As far as I can tell, you don't even know how to route an order! @Vadym You guys are running a nice operation. You do not deserve the shit that you have been given. Many times I question why you just don't trade for yourself and leave this shit behind. You are too good of a trader to be doing "public service." Chatrooms are nothing but bullshit. They are there to take the money from you the easy way. I know because I used to run one. And I know everyone in this industry, and the ones that are the biggest frauds along with the Kens (Wolff and Calhoun) and Brandon are: Pristine, Underground, and Millennium (these guys should be put in jail for their bullshit track record). Signed by an ex chatroom moderator. This is my first and last post. I thought I'd add my two cents. Sorry guys, but the "count" is after you - be careful. It is amusing to see your shit-tossing contest.
Man, Neo-The-Geo, you're gonna give ole Neo from Croatia a bad name, guilt by association. Chatrooms are nothing but bullshit...I know because I used to run one. I'm surprised you didn't have the cajonas to print your real name, but I guess hiding behind an alias and attacking just about everyone will have to do...
Just think, all this name calling could so easily be avoided by those prepared to trade an audited account in association with their services. But none of them will. Why? I certainly would if I could and were in the business, rather than have my reputation and integrity impugned. Yes, I know I have said it before, but some things are worth repeating. Unfortunately Don's trading contest is a poor substitute for real ongoing verified results. I predict it will lead to lots of gloating from some and excuses from others. In reality it will prove nothing.
Regarding Vadym Graiffer: "Many times I question why you just don't trade for yourself and leave this shit behind. You are too good of a trader to be doing "public service." I have a lot of respect for my fellow Canadian Mr. Graiffer, but the answer is obvious. From a post by him earlier in this thread: "It was about $500/day in 1999 -2000 on ~30K trading capital, dropped to $200-300 since I started running the room. " He has also remarked that when he was making $500 per day he was able to use sure-fire riskless techniques not available today, like buying the ask and selling a higher bid. $250 per day times 22 days per month = $5500 $300 per month from 150 subscribers in each of two chat rooms = $90,000 per month The guy would have to be nuts to turn his back on such a gravy train. One thing we can safely assume is that all these guys can make more money more easily running rooms than they can trading. All this "I am driven to teach" stuff is just so much guff. Does anyone really think they would be running chat rooms if the math above were reversed? Of course not.
From Limitdown: "WOW - what a thread when I started this thread, I never, NEVER, expected it to have gotten to this level of a fever's pitch." You are far to modest. I recognize a good troll when I see one. Congratulations.
your math is not entirely right, let me make some corrections (just for the sake of balanced approach). 1. We don't have 150 members. I hope we will though but unfortunately rooms with pure stock picking run by mysterious gurus are more popular than ones with education that make members work... We do realize this but we refuse to run the service using advice that was once given to us: "Nobody went broke underestimating public intelligence but many did overestimating it". Money is nice but gotta have self-respect in order to look in the mirror with no disgust. 2. Most of our members pay $200, not $300 since we reserved old price for original members, and with our relatively low churn rate we do have plenty. 3. Service is run by several partners and has several people on payroll. So, it would be really nice to have $90K/month but... You do have a point though, and this point is: part of my income became more stable, secure if you wish... let's face it, trading does have its ups and downs, nobody can trade like machine. With all the pressure being put on me during last 6 years with immigration, learning the language and learning this profession from the scratch (and we all know it's not the easiest profession to learn) I did need this relief (maybe temporary) which more stable income brought. BTW, about rapid techniques that worked for me... they still do, why do you say they ceased working? Majority of my trades are still very fast and IMO rumor about the death of scalping techniques are really exaggerated. One more point I would like to make... I value very much your words of respect guys and grateful for them.... but why do you add some kind of sympathy or pity about the fact that I/we run the room? I am not ashamed of this at all, we do honest job and I do believe those that use our service are not fooled or anything but rather really find value in it. Our approach and techniques are not for everyone, sure... but what in trading is? Last point... hey, may be lets drop chat room bashing or praising, topic seems to be beaten to the ground, and let's talk about trading techniques? Although I can't deny, entertaining element for sure is there as many posters noted Best regards, Vadym
