Charting software for pairs trading?

Discussion in 'Trading Software' started by dis, Apr 15, 2003.

  1. Winsum,

EXPE/USAi was a neat pair. I tested it in my TS 6.0 pairs trading strategy and it showed:

41 trades/36 winners for a net gain of 14 points before the usual slippage etc. over the past 150 days.

However, I'm not trading pairs currently. But this was a good one.

FWIW, this can be done in eSignal as well. Here are instructions for those that need it.

  3. Thank You ALL,

I dont need just the spread of 2 symbols in a chart.

I need both stock %change in one chart.

For instance the %change of qqq and spy in 1 chart.

Does anyone support this at a reasonable price?
I dont need any backtesting or scanning.
I know that QT is considering this.

I will start my investigation at:
    -Investor/RT from linnsoft.com
    -CQG
    -Bloomberg.
    -Tradestation World trading strategy
    -qcharts
    -eSignal

To answer my own question: BigCharts.com has a %compare indicator that is suitable for development of pairs trading strategies.

    Take a look at Fibonaaci Trader ( www.fibonaccitrader.com )

I use it and I can do almost anything with it, it's very flexible and has great personal support.

    Hope this helps
