Charting historical intraday data

Discussion in 'Data Sets and Feeds' started by blueberrycake, Feb 16, 2004.

  1. Has anyone had good experience with any charting tool that works with historical intraday data. Both Sierra Charts and WealthLab crashed after I tried to load 8 years of one-minute data (from TickData). Amibroker loaded the data, but the charts are as ugly as they come, plus as you change the resolution of the data (ie go from 1-min bars to 5-min bars), the chart will actually shift position to a different time and date.

Is there any good charting software that can load several years worth of intraday data, not crash, display nice charts and adjust data resolution without jumping to a different day?

  2. Could you please elaborate on this ?
I am keen to hear what you would like to see improved in AmiBroker.

If you are looking for a good charting software, check out Stock Watch Pro. Their charts are great and the feed they are using goes back farther than you'll ever need. The site is http://www.crontech.com/swp
