charting equity curve in Excel WITHOUT WEEKENDS SHOWING UP

I have a column of dates and they're all weekdays. Next to it is a column of prices. When I create a chart in Excel by highlighting both columns, Excel inserts weekends into the chart. How can I stop this?

Poke around the options and set the X-axis values as categories. That should do the trick for you.
