Let's say I'm 10 percent ITM with six weeks to go on the e-mini and two weeks on the option. Will my option get called (or put to me) away early? What are the potential factors? Thanks in advance.
Analyze the time value premium.... are you talking about being short or long? Options don't get called or put to you, the underlying does.
On a futures options the chances are negligible in the current conditions. If it does happen, that's good for you.
Is there even one ES FOP that is American? I don't recall one. Hmmmmm. (Ahem. You might wanna check.) ((Ah-HA! sle knew {see below}: The Quarterlys! So, 4 times a year. The weeklys, sub-weeklys, and EndOfMonths, are European. So, roughly 168 expiries out of 172, there be no early-exercise coming your way.)) Good odds.
