  1. Surfer NLP is a label attached to the observation of language.

Some just prefer to call it "LISTENING".

    :)

I already understand more about it then I ever want to or need to ..... thanks anyway.

NLP is NOT trademarked by the way.

  2. sorry, you are wrong again. NLP is a trademarked term, refering to a specific technique.

however, i do understand what you are saying.

How would you deal with trades where you basically got screwed by the specialist. It's hard to blame yourself, but it certainly destroys the view of the market. That has really been bringing me down and hurting my trading, yet there is nothing I can do about it.

I got back after a week off and my day back was great, yet Friday just killed me as I was getting jerked around again and lost all my gains from the day before. It's psychologically destructive since I do not even know what to do about the problems that I'm having.

The rest of your post is great. I think keeping a journal for 2 days about your reactions is a clever idea and an eye opener.

  6. You are not obliged to trade market with specialists. Even in futures there is "screwing" but it is part of the trading game you have to cope with it or you'll always be a loser. If not it would be too easy, if it was too easy there wouldn't be a small percentage that racket the others :D. As speculator you are yourself a screwer of others since it is a zero sum game so don't whine on that. So speculators or specialists screwing other speculators is normal, what is less normal is stock market screwing the real economy but that's another question.

Try this - say the word RED 40 times.

I bet you saw the color red at some point in your minds eye. There we go. A simple example of how vocabulary can affect your mental thought process.

The other important point in the original post is to do with people who share your environment.

When you see a kid with trash for parents, who smack and shout and swear at their kid in open public, you know that kid is going to assume this behavior is normal and treat other people like shit when it grows up. We can be fairly sure the parents had the same upbringing. You tell someone they are shit and they will believe it. They will start to act like shits themselves. This is a proven phenomena and HAS been proven using the scientific method.

Again, not quite on the same path as the original article, but Im sure you can see how it relates.

I mean like when you are closing a position that is in the money, but you get printed out of the money or at half your profit. Traders screwing traders is different, both take risk. Specialist manipulating price and screwing traders--only one side takes a risk.
I'm losing confidence in my trading, because my strategy and style has not worked mainly due to specialist slippage. After the first week of February is when this started happening. I'm thinking after this week with earnings season, it will turn good again.
