Would you like to see the tick increment in the ES changed from 0.25 to 0.1?

  1. Obviously you never traded equities before decimalization...

Now you guys want this for ES, ER2, ect?...

I don't know. Maybe you guys are trying to pinch the spread... :D

  4. This is like comparing apples & pears. This change was only very minor what concerns ticksize but changed a century+ old habit for very wide classes of traders.
Changing ES & NQ ticksize will only impact the few that grew rich on it.

  5. Actually I would like to see the spread smaller in NQ. I think it is
too big. Maybe from .50 to .25. I guess we could comprimise and
    have ES at .20

Now who do we holler at to get these changes?... Can we get it done by next week?... :p

    my wote for yes.

as a scalper i would like to see this change.

    btw:
for the one longer term trader (someone, i do not remember who) who said something like "i would not like this because then i would not know where to place my orders", then i will suggest for you; place only on full points or on for example half point increments as well. this should not be a problem.

I sent CME a message before I started this thread asking them the "why is ES 0.25 per tick" question and I got an automated response saying that they'd get back to me within 24 hours, however, still no reply...

That was slightly inaccurate: 3 days not 24 hours. Here is the response:
