Ah, once you start adding in much more complexity, it makes it difficult to make any decisions. For me, the highs at 2843 was simply a test of the previous day high during RTH. Of course, price can easily blow through this, but its nevertheless always a level that is plotted on my chart. Adding also the bond market would be just so much more confirmation needed. All I watch is ES and NQ. Adding in even YM now makes things more difficult. The trouble becomes too many levels too watch. The other big thing is when the markets are out of sync, so then you question which one is right. Sometimes ES leads NQ, and other times it works in reverse.
DId some scalping myself today for fun and netted $195. Was down $680 after first trade but hit 4 winners in a row to end net positive. Nice streak as I usually like 2-3 trades a day when I can but was happy to trade out of the hole I created for myself (first trade got away from me). Had a better Friday but I scalp in between other things during the day to make money. Prefer /NQ/ EDIT: Yeah $5 RT sucks but I trade under 20 contracts a day and not every day so I am fine with it. I do this in my ToS account even though IB is like $4 RT. I basically price in 1 point to each trade to cover commish. EDIT 2: Sorry was pointed out correctly the time stamp columns got squished. I will make sure they are expanded next time.
couple trades in sim account at 612.5 + 1900 in real acct 1 more trade 662.5 I could play the dispersion field all night but too tired.
125 in real account. I’m done with the challenge 887.5 plus 2025 in rl acct. = 2912.5 Tied up with things. Going to take swing position in ES violate rules. Ps did another quick trade. 125.. 3037.5
Another set up came so could not resist. Total for today +$620 net Most likely done for today as lunch approaches and don't want to be glued to screen.
Could not resist and saw an overnight short opportunity before the close. Covered at 7444 because did not want to worry about it overnight (even though as I post this NQ hit 7440). Net Profit: $540 Will count this for Wednesday trade .
Maybe its just a typo, but the math isn't right here. If we assume average entry of 7454, an exit of 7444, for 10 points, and 2 contracts, this only works out to $400 profit. As an aside, its interesting that you held it through a 10 point drawdown as well since it essentially hit as high as 7464, testing the previous day high. Nicely done nevertheless! (I think the thread starter has already been beaten by either you or Spectre2007)
