You have to ask yourself two questions... 1.) Why do you so badly want to trade CFDs as an American trading markets? What advantages would it give you over all of your other choices here? 2.) Why are they banned by US regulators? That's it. That's all there is to it.

Well then, I pose those two questions to you! Can you figure why this is the situation with USA traders and the regulators? What is it abut CFDs that are so bad?
It is a great mystery. US traders /investors can invest in those defi crypto lender ponzi things. but they have no freedom to trade CFD things. personally I don't find cfd that dangerous. But I don't like it due to its horrific bid offer spread and its questionable volume. some of them behave like bucket shops.
It depends on your residency. For non-US residents trading CFDs of US stocks for example is permitted.
