Well if you feel you have had enought of your job, why not switch to another PE fund and do similar thing? How long have you been with the fund manager? Generally there should be more carry with time, no? And the opportunities to co-invest...I am sure plenty would kill for such a job! Then concentrate on one of the allowed instruments, I guess as a hobby?
I feel some assumptions are being made here but not sure what they are... I don't currently sit next to a fund manager. IT staff is shielded from "the professionals". I guess switching to another PE firm would be the same thing, but potentially with less pay and the same trading restrictions perhaps (as per FCA rules). I've been with them for over a year. Can't complain at all. It's just that this newfound passion and interest is "pressing from within". But then again, could be all fantasy as have not really been on the job (whichever that may be). This is becoming a group therapy session lol That's a good idea yes. Thank you. My current daily routine is: study for IMC+CFA1 in the morning for q couple of hours, then work, then continue in the evening or a bit of sports betting (lol)
Hi, Then yes - just continue go with the daily routine, and sooner or later the results will be there Good luck!!
