CFA candidate wondering about Series 7

I'm currently preparing for Level II of the CFA exam in June. I have my Series 6 and was wondering if anyone else out there has done the 7 and CFA. Is there enough overlap that I could easily pass the 7 or is the material totally different?

 

I hold a CFA and did the "Series 7" 2 years later. Series 7 is pretty easy compared to the CFA - took me about 3 days to prepare for Series 7. The only new stuff in Series 7 is the rules and regulations that broker face.

no, not really. although some of it is interesting reading material....
