Don't waste your time. I spent a long time trying to figure out the usefulness of this indicator. It is indeed a zero lag indicator, so when you finally get the crossover, the opportunity is gone. You might be able to write something fancy that will approximate what value the stock needs to be at to be at the crossover or something like that. I wrote some back tests and lost a ton ... I then turned the indicator around and bought when it said sell and vice versa and turned a small profit. If you'd like to play around w/ back testing the COG, check out Wealth-Lab and my simple COG script. But seriously, I'd focus on something that isn't a complete waste of time. Maybe others have had better success.
