    Chariot Resources (chd.to) purchase at 1.22

    Reason: National Post story of this copper stock that failed to approve a poison pill and is ripe for a takeover. Target by Blackmount Anaylst is 1.73

    Abitibi (a.to) at 2.54 and Bowater (bwx.to) at 26 both avoid. National Post reports merger however, savings from layoffs is questionable considering the severence costs.

    Buy Rogers Communications (RCI-B.TO) 48.85 and Shaw Communications at $26.17. Possible merger 60 to 70 bucks for Shaw Communications.
