you have no idea what you are about... you and your team are dangerous fear mongering selfish SOBs and you are even doing a disservice to the high risk who need to be protecting themselves better and not relying on failed concepts. you and your crazy friends need to stop... you are doing so much damage... This virus... is dangerous to old people and the high risk... They need to be protecting themselves better. We need to let kids be back in school full time. We are doing so much damage to them with this bullshit... and plenty of kids are not back in school. Some of mine here in CA are not. The Crude Fatality rate for those under 50 is .25. So imagine if you are in the low risk and we look at everyone who was infected but never got tested including the asymptomatic? This is not even the flu for those under 50. https://reason.com/2020/08/31/cdc-d...ace-a-negligible-risk-of-dying-from-covid-19/ The latest data on COVID-19 cases and fatalities from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirm that young people face a negligible risk of dying from the disease, while people 65 and older face a much higher risk. Patients 65 or older account for about 16 percent of confirmed cases but four-fifths of COVID-19 deaths. The crude case fatality rate indicated by the CDC's numbers (deaths divided by confirmed cases) is about 0.25 percent for patients younger than 50 and nearly 16 percent—63 times higher—for patients older than 64. While the overall crude CFR is 3 percent, the rates among adults range from 0.07 percent for patients in their late teens and 20s to 29 percent for patients 85 or older—more than 400 times higher. (The fatality rates are even lower among minors: 0.04 percent for children 4 or younger and 0.02 percent for 5-to-17-year-olds.) Because these calculations include only confirmed cases, the percentages are higher than the fatality rates among all Americans infected by the COVID-19 virus, many of whom never seek testing because their symptoms are mild or nonexistent. Judging from the CDC's antibody studies, the infection fatality rate varies widely from one part of the country to another—from 0.1 percent in Utah to 1.4 percent in Connecticut, for example.
and some years... people still get the flu even though they are in health care and are forced to get the shots. Year after year... its on average the vaccine is only about 40 percent effective.
Kids are back in school full time... Mine kids and friends kids here in Canada are back in school except for two that decided to do home schooling at the request of their 10 - 12 year olds that have serious underlying medical conditions. As for the United States...all of my cousins kids, siblings children and the few with students in college are all back in school full-time. I think you should focus more on issues in California instead of expressing your opinion that whatever is occurring in California must be occurring every where else. Sorry to hear about your problems in California that's damaging your children. Accordingly to this article...it looks like you must be in one of those only 10 counties out of 58 counties that have targeted restrictions... https://edsource.org/2020/latest-updates-on-education-and-the-coronavirus-crisis/635717 wrbtrader
You just made assumptions based on a few data points... and its seems your assumptions were not that good. Many kids in the U.S. are not back in school full time. Just look at the chart... below... Red means closed Orange means partial Yellow means district by district... Green means must ordered open by the state... I did not know this chart existed... but I have enough friends and family around the country to know that many of them are not in school full time... so I looked before I posted. https://www.cnn.com/interactive/2020/health/coronavirus-schools-reopening/
I will state again... All of my relatives / friends with kids / college students in the United States and Canada have their children back in school / University full-time except for two. I don't haven any relatives / friends with children in California but I do have friends (ex-rangers) living in California off the grid. I did find the following California info (chart below) as of October 13th and based upon your complaints...you must be living in one of the to two area that currently under restrictions (Widespread / Substantial)...residing in one of those only 10 counties out of 58 counties within California. There's another graph of each county in California (not posted) that shows which county corresponds to the area shown in the below chart. Thanks for the chart and I stand by what I said earlier about my family / friends in the United States...they are back in school. Yet, I forgot to mention that fall sports have been cancel for most except my aunt grand kids in South Dakota.. Next week may be a different story if the infections / deaths continue rising and children (our kids) continue to be one of the biggest spreaders of the infection to their family members (those living in their household). Simply, you need to sit down and focus more on what your kids may bring home from school into your household. On the flip side, marriages / relationships have suffer the most during this Pandemic. wrbtrader
This has been known for some time. Flu is more dangerous to the young than covid. Anyone arguing this probably enjoys wearing masks in cars with their windows up.
you can state again all you wish... it wont change reality. millions of children the U.S. are not back in school full time. no we don't live in a purple area. Last I checked though millions of kids still live in purple. You said you don't know anything about where I live You said you don't want to talk about. So you should shut up about things you don't know about or you should take the time to actually gather the data before you comment.
You misunderstood what I said that I don't know anything about "San Diego Beaches" but only after you implied you live in the San Diego area while complaining about the beaches in which you complained about some Governor that's a Democrat. Correct me if you did not state any of the above. With that repeat...you now state you do not live within the purple area even though I have not posted that chart of the specific counties that represent any purple areas. In fact, the only thing I posted is the graph of what each 4 risk levels meant without identifying any specific counties. Therefore, we can now assume that San Diego as of October 19th is not in the purple area (widespread) of the Governor's risk level. I do have a chart of the specific counties / districts as of October 13th but it has not been posted. Yet it has no importance considering you've now stated you're not in the purple area refer to as "Widespread". Therefore, I'm going to assume all your complaints is about San Diego and you must live near the beach or own those 2 businesses near the beach that you mention the other day (post you've deleted). Regardless, take a step back today and talk about the states OUTSIDE of California in which you posted a link to a pretty listing of states with closures / no closures but restrictions... I will repeat, the family / friends I know in the United States that have children...their kids (high school / college) are back at school full-time except for two. Never did I state millions of children are back at school. In fact, the first time you've mention kids or children were not back at school the other day...I replied and specifically mention kids here in Québec, Canada where I live are in fact back at school. My kids (young teenagers) are in fact back in school full-time but pssst that their Hockey has been cancelled as specifically stated before to you. In contrast, the only people I know in California are ex-military pals living off the grid...they do not have children. What exactly should I shut up about again...be specific ??? Face it, you can only be living in one of those counties with school closures to be complaining so loudly because it wouldn't add up if you live in a county that you're kids are back at school. Is that what I should shut up about ? Another possibility, your kid that's away at college (the one you mention in the message post you deleted)...that University is closed or restricted to students virtual learning. Yet, I don't put college students on the same level as children as the ones you still have at home (not in college)...assuming the ones still home are teenagers. I do know many Universities in United States and Canada did shut down but most of them re-open for fall academics. Many of them re-open not in a good way...very little testing sites, very little contact tracking, not in control of Greek houses parties and not control of large social gatherings on campus. Thus, some have gone to virtual learning (students remain in the dorm rooms with advisory about social gatherings on/off campus) with the current increasing infections / deaths...some now do temperature checks of students leaving / entering the dorms. P.S. FYI...everybody at this forum are not in California. wrbtrader
Consider yourself 100 percent corrected. I did not misunderstand anything... you said the above...true... but you also said... you know nothing about San Diego nor will you debate about it.
