From a military standpoint, and if wanting to take total power of a country, I'd welcome it also. After all, US pharma won't even make enough vaccines even if one existed. Worse, this Nazi's just looking for a reason to get his pen out..

Ebola Panic Reaches New Heights As Maine Teacher Is Put On Leave Because She Visited Dallas
    http://thinkprogress.org/health/201...ue-to-ebola-fears-because-she-visited-dallas/

An elementary school teacher in Maine has been placed on leave for 21 days, the incubation period of Ebola, after she visited Dallas to attend an educational conference. The teacher did not come into contact with anybody who had tested positive for the virus, but did stay at a hotel “exactly 9.5 miles away from Texas Health Presbyterian,” where Ebola patients have been treated.

The school district attributed its decision to “parents’ concerns,” presumably about the teacher transmitting Ebola to their children. But if the school board’s criteria for leave were applied to everyone, the entire city of Dallas would have to stay home from work. About 5 million people within the United States travel to or through Dallas each month.

Fears about Ebola, often without any medical justification, are impacting people across the country. Middle school students were pulled out of school in Mississippi after the principal visited Zambia, a country about 3,000 miles from the Ebola outbreak in Africa. Michel du Cille, a photographer for the Washington Post, was “disinvited by Syracuse University from participation in a journalism workshop.” The decision was made because he visited Liberia a few weeks ago, despite the fact that he did not develop any symptoms of Ebola in the 21-day maximum incubation period.

Perhaps a reasonable approach to keeping it out of this country would have reduced the onset of panic. Just sayin...I've noticed dem candidates are starting to flip-flop like fish out of water regarding flights from stricken regions of the world. It seems they are beginning to panic, but for other reasons.

The real issue is that there needs to be firmly established rules from the Federal Government about Ebola restrictions; otherwise every school system and town is going to make up their own rules (some of which will be absurd and driven by fear).

Our federal government - unlike other federal governments across the earth - has failed to establish country-wide standards regarding the treatment, quarantine, and handling of those exposed to Ebola. This is seen when healthcare workers treating Ebola patients are boarding planes and cruise ships. These unaddressed problems just adds to the fear in local communities because obviously the federal government is not doing its job.

Our local school system has now started asking all students and staff if they have been to Africa in the last few weeks. They are also asking if anyone has flown on a plane and demanding the flight numbers. They have now expanded the questions to everyone in the household. So far they have not found anyone who has recently been to the three impacted African countries or on one of the flights using the planes the nurse flow on. I expect if they find anyone then the entire school would be shut down (too late by a week BTW) to be disinfected for a minimum of a week, the potentially exposed students & families will be placed in 21 day quarantines, and the other students & families will be forced to self-monitor.

  10. I noticed the sunday morning shows all were desperately repeating the Obama talking points about scare talk and no need to restrict travel, etc. Sometimes their bias is so comical it's entertaining.
