CBOT/MidAm Christmas and New Year's Day Trading Schedule CHICAGO, December 13, 2002 -- The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) and the MidAmerica Commodity Exchange (MidAm) have established the following Christmas and New Yearâs Day holiday trading schedules: Monday, December 23 Normal daytime schedules will be observed for all CBOT® contracts. Overnight electronic trading will be closed for agricultural contracts only. The Normal schedule for all other overnight electronic trading will be observed. Tuesday, December 24 Open auction: Agricultural contracts will be closed. (Last delivery day for Dec. 2002 Wheat & Oat futures will be Thursday, December 26.) Financial contracts will close at 12:00 p.m. Stock Indices will close at 12:15 p.m. Electronic trading: Agricultural contracts will be closed. Dow/AIG Index contracts will close at 12:00 noon. Financials, Stock Indices, and Metals contracts will close at 12:30 pm. Overnight electronic trading will be closed. MidAmerica Commodity Exchange contracts will be closed on Tuesday, December 24. Wednesday, December 25 CBOT/MidAm daytime and overnight trading will be closed. Thursday, December 26 CBOT open auction trading will observe normal trading schedules. Electronic trading: Morning trading for agricultural and DJIASM ($10) trading will be closed. Financial contracts on the electronic trading system will trade from 6:00 a.m. â 4:00 p.m.; mini-sized DJIA will trade from 6:15 a.m.-4:00 p.m.; Metals will trade from 6:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Dow/AIG Index contracts will observe its normal trading schedule. Tuesday, December 31 CBOT open auction: Agricultural and Financial contracts will close at 12:00 noon. Stock Index contracts will close at 3:15 p.m. Electronic Trading: Dow/AIG Index contracts will close at 12:00 p.m. Financial and Metal contracts will close at 12:30 p.m. Stock Indices will close at 4:00 p.m. Overnight electronic trading will be closed. Trading will close at 12:30 p.m. in the following MidAm contracts: Soybeans, Wheat and Corn. Wednesday, January 1, 2003 All CBOT/MidAm daytime trading will be closed. Electronic trading will reopen at normal evening times.
