I believe that the floor of the CBOT is soon to be rid of.. I worked on the floor in the Grains, and many of the "old timers" do not believe that the Grains especially the Bean Options will be sufficient traded electronically.. It seems to be half and half on the floor.. Many believe that the floor will not be there for 5 years and others do.. As the CBOT goes public, I believe share holders will want to cut cost and get rid of the floor! To me, I felt that being a Trader's Assistant offers the best oppurtunity to eventually become a Trader whether on the floor or electronically.. But it seems that many Proprietary Groups are downsizing as more and more are moving traders Electronically.. The Floor will be gone! Chuck
