Discussion in 'Options' started by ajacobson, Apr 2, 2024.

  1. Yes, need a futures account. CFTC, pretty sure, with OCC coming up with SPAN arrays etc - just like VIX futures. I am waiting for her to call back about it since I really want to be involved there.

oh, and 1k multiplier is gonna be awesome, right?

you really need to stop posting. You have no idea what you are talking about and you suck at arguing.

My question, which was to the OP, was regarding the title, not the snippet. Someone gave it a like, rather than snark.

Slightly off topic, but have you had any issues when you contact the CBOE? Seems your contact was happy to give you information. Whenever I call my old contacts there, they are very hesitant to even talk to me anymore. They want me to go through my broker to ask them almost anything.

@FSU - quick answer is regulatory bullshit and what constitutes investment advice. It's an easy out to send you back to your member firm. There is a whole slew of new practices on what a 24 needs to review, what needs to be archived, and what could be considered investment advice.
They've gone nuts over "record-keeping" violations of the b/d community - the exchange community is even more gun-shy.
It's just easier to avoid it.
