President Obama's national health care law will cost $1.76 trillion over a decade, according to a new projection released today by the Congressional Budget Office, rather than the $940 billion forecast when it was signed into law.

Democrats employed many accounting tricks when they were pushing through the national health care legislation, the most egregious of which was to delay full implementation of the law until 2014, so it would appear cheaper under the CBO's standard ten-year budget window and, at least on paper, meet Obama's pledge that the legislation would cost "around $900 billion over 10 years." When the final CBO score came out before passage, critics noted that the true 10 year cost would be far higher than advertised once projections accounted for full implementation.

Today, the CBO released new projections from 2013 extending through 2022, and the results are as critics expected: the ten-year cost of the law's core provisions to expand health insurance coverage has now ballooned to $1.76 trillion. That's because we now have estimates for Obamacare's first nine years of full implementation, rather than the mere six when it was signed into law. Only next year will we get a true ten-year cost estimate, if the law isn't overturned by the Supreme Court or repealed by then. Given that in 2022, the last year available, the gross cost of the coverage expansions are $265 billion, we're likely looking at about $2 trillion over the first decade, or more than double what Obama advertised.

Remember when they were telling us that Obamacare was actually going to reduce the deficit? And the democrats were just eating it up..... shows how naieve they are and how easy it is to fool them. We were going to add a brand new entitlement, and it was going to reduce the deficit, create jobs, insure 50 million new people and bring down the cost of healthcare.... LOL!!!

btw this is only a 9 year projection on spending now, so by next year it will probably be over 200 billion a year with a full 10 years of spending included, and by the time they start implementing it, and the government gets their hands on it and fucks it all up it will easily start costing us well over 300 billion a year, 10-20 years from now it will cost us as much as social security and medicare are, and so we will be spending twice what we take in just on the military and entitlements....

Do you even read the shit you copy and paste? yours shows the cost from 2012-2021 the article said the CBO has an estimate from 2013-2022, thus being a more accurate representation, because the estimate from 2012-2021 includes 2 years where we are not covering anyone, because coverage doesnt start till 2014.

The 2013 10 year estimate includes only 1 year where we arent covering anyone, so the price goes up, also in his article im assuming they are talking about the gross cost of the bill.....

    learn to read.

  6. Can you post a link to that CBO estimate from 2013-2022 ?

Go find it yourself, do you think an extra year of coverage in the estimate isnt going to cost anything?

Its not that hard to figure out given the fact that the gross is 1.49 trillion already, that adding an extra year to the estimate 10 years out is going to cost another couple hundred billion more atleast, due to rising healthcare costs.

  8. I cant find something that doesn't exist. The CBO hasn't released an Obamacare estimate for 2013-2022 as your buddy and his lying website claimed

Yep, iim sure it is all an elaborate ploy to make obama look bad, if you cant figure out that the numbers are accurate just by looking at them and logically breaking it down, then you really are stupider then i thought.

  10. Your buddy posted a thread and a link stating that The CBO released Obamacare projections from 2013 through 2022 costing $1.76 trillion when The CBO never released such projections and your dumb ass fell for it,you are stupider then I thought.
