Yes you're wrong you had the choice of policies that were within the state regulations at the time you purchased the insurance. Now if you're saying you liked the previous rules and regulations more than the new rules and regulations then that would be correct. You and I haven't been alive long enough to have purchased insurance without some government regulations, that was long before our time.
Let's hope you're right and the plan succeeds, but sadly there is not much chance.. It would have been better to have included the public option and let the insurance companies bankrupt themselves. Still better yet would have been to go to single payer, 80/20 medicare for everyone except the medicaid qualified, and let the insurance companies sell competitive policies to cover the 20%. The insurance companies were major players in creating the nightmare known as the U.S. "Medical Care System", let them reap the rotten fruits of their labors, I say. O'Romba care will have a difficult time succeeding even minimally without repealing the McCarran-Ferguson Act. As a first step toward overhaul of U.S. medical care that would involve participation of private insurance companies any non-insane person would have called for repeal on McCarran-Ferguson!!!
Let me add, please, while i'm in rant mode, that O'Bomba-care was an opportunity to get rid of employer-linked health insurance. But that opportunity was also blown. What a mess.! What rotten medical Care!! What a Country!!!
Just getting rid of employer health care would of fixed some of the unemployment problem, but alas it's doing the opposite. If health care law were written where it was a no fault system and the health care cost were removed from workers comp that would be another business boost.
Kruggie claiming that in this era of record high food stamps, astonishingly stubborn unemployment and rampant poverty that there is just too much damn working for pay going on and we need a lot less. LOL. Even for Krugman, that's out there - way way out there. Did he start reading some of the libtards in this forum?
I enlisted in the Marines after High School, then after graduating College later in my 20's, went Mustang (Officer.) I was in Desert Storm as a kid, and in Iraq (twice) later, where i was shot. I served America as a guy who wanted to PRESERVE freedom vs what you gubment-loving loons want. And NO, the baby shit check I receive now is a joke compared to what I make WORKING.. I didn't do what I did to live off YOUR out of control gubment... Wake up wheelbarrow!
Correct me if I'm wrong. But weren't the democraps in control of the House the Senate and the WH when ACA was written? Didn't it pass without a single (R) vote? The Dems own the Obamacare debacle. Utterly and completely.
That enlisted military serving in a war-zone make one quarter as much as a some Congressman or Senator is a crime. Vets injured in duty should get a big pension.
The best thing we can do for our military men and women is stop recklessly putting their lives in danger. Iraq war was a sham so was Afghanistan after two years. It's a disgrace what we've done in the name of patriotism. A needless war maiming and killing our own soldiers, killing innocent civilians in other countries, hiring mercenaries exempt from the rule of law. Keeping our men overseas for multiple tours of duty which can ruin a family. Bush, Cheney and company should hide their heads in shame for what they've done.
