Tgregg is entitled to his opinion. Both you and Nine Ender are Canadian, so perhaps you don't have the respect we in the states have for our Freedom of Speech. But we are allowed to say what we feel, even if the rest of the world doesn't like it.

  2. I think it's very heroic of you to vigorously defend Tgregg's right to express his hate and racist views, while your delicate sensibilities go all aflutter when someone injects a bit of sarcasm or levity to express their own views that differ from your own...

I don't have any issue with people who's opinions differ from my own. But if they wish or claim to want to discuss those differing opinions in a civil manner, but resort to snark and insulting tone, then they're going to get it in kind.

You have a right to be an jerk/asshole, Brass. But you don't always have to exercise that right. That's really all I'm saying.

  4. Not exactly. Your brethren are kings of lowbrow "snark" and I have yet to see you make an issue of it. Ricter, whom you accuse of "snark," elevates the craft to a fine art but you go after him. Because you disagree with him. I can pull up any number of your past posts heavily dosed with "snark." But you're special and want to be treated deferentially. You only attack the "snark" that you disagree with. And that makes you a hypocrite. I don't attack the "snark." Just the message. With sarcasm when it feels right.

Now go back to defending Tgregg.

    1. If my "brethren", as you call them, use snark on me, they'll get insults in kind. I don't make an issue of people not talking to me, but you seem to have the same issue going after your "brethren" when they make uncalled for comments (not that I expect it of you, but you seem to think we should police everyone).

    2. Ricter and I are old friends. He uses snark, and I reply in kind. It depends on his mood. Most of the time, however, he can be very civil. You should take lessons from him. But I'll only insult him after he's done the opening salvo. Have there been some rare occasions when I may have picked a fight with him by insulting him first? Yes, I'm sad to say. We're all human. but I make an effort to not do so unless first provoked. There's only one poster on this website I go after repeatedly, and that's because he delights in bullying everyone.

    3. I'm not defending TGregg's viewpoints. Just his right to say them. There's an important difference.

As for the rest, go on and rant. You've shown yourself to be the same worthless, bitchy, friendless person, regardless of moniker. You'll want the last word (again) and you can have it.

I really need to learn to stop engaging you in the first place. Nothing good ever comes from it.

    Have a good day.

  7. Psychopaths are drawn to police work. I had a little run-in with some b%^ch with a badge recently. She had some of the tells: unblinking hostile stare, taking a comment as personal disrespect and that being a huge issue with her, displaying a huge need to get it over on me, etc.. I couldn't observe her for more of the tells but all my alarms were going off. That is scary since there is no limit on their behavior at all if nobody is watching. Fortunately they don't let her run around the streets without a partner.

I never believed all these stories I heard from people that were mistreated by cops but it's all making sense nowadays, especially since we video them murdering people and laughing about it. The next step is to get the people that hire these sick f#^ks and don't prosecute them out of power.

Unfortunately, people with the desire to "Kick ass, sleep 'till noon" (to use a favorite quote from Travolta in The General's Daughter) tend to be drawn to occupations that put them in positions of power. Psych tests for the police - particularly the state trooper tests in many states, used to be a lot more strict. That is, until they were unable to get recruit quotas filled.

A good part of it is training, a good part of it is the person. Regardless, the important thing to remember as a civilian is to NOT put up any protest at all. If you feel you're being mistreated, suck it up and complain later. Resisting arrest will not comfort your family when you are dead or in the hospital, even if you were in the right.

The vast majority of police officers are good people, putting their lives on the line every day for little recognition, a decent pension plan and a chance to take their car home if they work overtime. But the news will naturally seek out those bad apples that, when things go bad, result in people dying or getting hurt.

  9. I have a friend in the State Troopers. He and "most" of his department take so much steroids you would think they were entering a bodybuilding contest. That definitely has a lot to do with their short fuses and aggression.

  10. Why would they be juicing? Since they're not entering contests, that means they want the look all year round, which means they have to remain on it indefinitely. Otherwise their gains will wane. It is the epitome of stupid, from both a personal health perspective and the potential 'roid rage + guns perspective.

And speaking of State Troopers and steroids (and rage), LEAPup seems to be MIA. Not that I'm complaining.
