Principal posts support of the officer in question, loses job: http://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/education/article23616994.html
I watched the video, the kids were not obeying a lawful command by the officer, while he was trying to restrain one youth he was approached by several others, that is when he pulled his weapon.... Survival instinct when dealing with a mob single-handed..... Instead of apologizing the city should charge them with resisting arrest.
I think people need to ask themselves what would they think if that helpless 14-year-old girl on the ground was their daughter. As for the principal, he is a moron, whichever way you look at it. Morons shouldn't be principals.
The girl was on the ground because if her own actions. If that were my daughter, no I would not like it, but at the same time we would be having a long Father-Daughter talk about authority and how one acts. When I was a kid, the problems of getting in trouble were nothing compared to the problems of facing my parents when they found out.
Then why did the cop continue to harass and manhandle her when she was already seated on the ground? If he was sufficiently afraid for his life, enough to unholster his weapon, then he would not have been on the ground preoccupied with the 14-year-old girl. He was a just hopped-up power junkie. If that were your daughter you would be livid. You're looking through tinted glasses. And what about that commando evasive roll for absolutely no reason? WTF was that? What is wrong with these people?
Like I said, this constant scrutiny won't turn out well for us. Can't even have an opinion. http://news.yahoo.com/florida-high-school-principal-removed-defending-texas-officer-061034619.html
I'd love to see you put in that situation and see how you handled it. One cop and dozens of punks, some of whom no doubt are armed. You no doubt approve of the Baltimore approach, pull back and let the thugs do what they want so they don't get annoyed. To hell with everyone else's rights. That punk girl had assaulted a mother who happened to be a resident of the complex. Then she wanted to fight the cop and resisted arrest. Why is it that every time a cop tries to arrest a black there is a struggle? And I am sick of this crap about "what if it were your kid?" At some point, a kid has to learn that you don't trespass, refuse to leave when asked, start a fight, then try to fight with cops and expect to get patted on the head. It was a miracle that no one got shot at that riot. The cops should be getting praised for their restraint. If i lived there, I would be upset that the whole lot of those punks had not been arrested. Instead they were let go, so they could come back and terroize the place that night.
This is the left in action. No dissenting opinions allowed. Toe the party line or they will go all out to ruin you. And we go along with it. Wouldn't want to be called racists or something.
The girl was already on the ground and not getting up. If he was afraid for his life, why did he focus on being on top of her and was not on his feet addressing this so-called threat to his life? You're embarrassing yourself.
