Did you have to ignore the 13 minute trend today? It seemed like it has crossed many times, almost making it worthless. I have a system that is very similar to this one, but haven't used it lately because I hate being glued to the computer. It looks like today would be awesome with all the 3-7 point rallies back and forth (if you ignored the 13 minute rule) with the chimp system.
Hi, Nice Threath BUT... A 65 period moving average on a 1 minute chart is NOT THE SAME as a 13 period moving average on a 5 minute chart !!!! Take a look at www.fibonaccitrader.com for an explanation about multiple time frames or PM me. WATCH OUT SINCE IT DOES MATHER, Good luck trading
That is probably most easily seen also by those who look at longer term charts. The 200 day SMA - the mother of all averages - is not the same as the 40 week, a very common average. Yet, for purposes of determining trend direction via the slope, they are very close. However, point well taken.
Well ddfina, now you know. I spend all day glued to the charts. Also the mess never starts until noontime, and I was closed for the day by then. I only trade in the morning. And work on my theories all afternoon. I am very boring
I know it is not the same thing, but it works out OK for this. I also keep a 13 minute chart open to refer to during the day. I will definatly check out the website.
Tomorrow I am going to trade all day and see how that works out, so please be patient when you write me a reply. I will answer before 8am and after 4 pm. And post the chart by 5pm. I need to stay focused on trading. I am totally amazed by the big response I got!
You've got the Slimfast bar so you don't have to break for lunch. Now don't forget the Foley catheter...
Cathy, After The Importance of Simplicity thread I wouldn't think you would be too surprised. If you want to really say "wow", check out the length of the thread by Quah called "Something very Simplistic". It was at the top of the charts maybe two months ago. Totally mechanical. For about 3 weeks it ruled, then had some bad days and fell off the charts like an old Boz Skaggs tune.
