War isn't a very good way to judge someone IMO unless they're giving the orders. If I join the military my job is to follow orders regardless of my beliefs. Am I a bad Christian if I shoot another Christian in war? Am I supposed to go ask the enemy if they're Christian before I shoot them? We wouldn't have much of a military if everyone was allowed to fight based upon their religious beliefs.
According to the teachings of Christ, you would not even be in a WAR. The only way you'd be shooting anyone is if you were disobedient to Christ teachings. There are no excuses for justifying Murder in the Bible. it's abject stupidity, and nothing more that self-righteous delusion to assume you have a right to kill anyone because your GOVERNMENT told you to do so. I can ascertain from your answer that you're not familiar with the teachings of the Christian Bible. As there is absolutely no lifestyle choice, including participating in a WAR that negates a Christian from following the teachings of Christ. The premise of my last post was to show how absurd are the teachings on Biblical judgment as taught in Christian Churches. Also, I have two combat tours, but unlike most people who believe the nonsense that God is going to toss people in a Lake of Fire, I do not believe that's true. Quite frankly, I don't believe any of it. Most Christians wont take time to understand that a sentence for ETERNITY is actually not justice, but technically a perversion of justice. No way that a murderer who dies at a young age, should receive a sentence for ETERNAL JUDGEMENT. The whole concept is a farce.
I'm 100% against ALL wars. I would never join the military. If I were president I'd have ALL military members & weapons HOME. The only military offshore would be subs & ships in neutral waters. Protect our borders & let every other country defend itself or get help from a neighbor. I know plenty very good Christians that were in war but that doesn't make them *bad* Christians IMO. Here's someone that was never in the military but one of his biggest regrets is he didn't join the military. Is he a *bad* Christian? If you think so then most Christians are bad. If we're going to criticize everything that Christians do that's against the teachings of the bible, there will be no *good* Christians, including the Pope. ***BTW, war isn't considered murder. Neither is self-defense. Darin D. Fessler ✝️ (@DDFalpha) / X (twitter.com)
I agree with your sentiment concerning keeping Military forces close to home. It's a shame we're not even using them to protect the mass invasion currently taking place at our southern borders. But we'll use our Military to support imperialistic diplomacy abroad costing tax payers billions. I did not understand your implication concerning the Pope. Becoming a Pope (and all the ridiculous pomp associated with it) does not make the man automatically a righteous person, no more than it makes a man becoming a plumber a righteous person. If you're a member of a Catholic Church, just be aware that there is no other Religious organization on the planet that holds the record for Priest convicted of child sexual assault and pedophilia. The fact parents keep allowing their children to associate with these Priest is an obvious form of extreme brain washing. I wish you well, and by all means, if you attend a Catholic Church, protect your children! This is my last post on this thread. I question any person's ability to reason with logic and common sense if he fails to see the EXCESSIVE OSTENTATION & ABSOLUTE PRIDE IN THE BELOW PICTURE.
Have to agree with the last paragraph. For a religion that says,'Dont worship false idols',they sure give the local priest all the pomp and garb of someone 'above the people' and to be revered. I know first hand that in 90% of cases these arent people to be looked up to.Very rare that the role is filled by someone who has 'heard the call'. Mainly people who were either 'familied in'(it was tradition for good catholics to send their eldest to the priesthood) or people who realised they didnt fit in(many homosexuals felt it was a 'safe' way to live their life before succumbing to the confluence of 'celibacy' and access to young boys). Not a nice topic, but we all live in the real world.
1-Lifelong Catholic 2-Lost a LOT of respect for priests (& the church) after the sex assault of children. Allowing married men to become priests solves this problem (mostly) but the church is too stubborn to change & admit they have a problem. 3-Current pope is highly questionable. Possibly working with the WEF criminals. 4-Most Catholics are decent people IMO but bad ones like any group of people. 5-Vatican is a money-hungry organization. I give more to St. Jude Children's Hospital & Catholic Relief Services than the local church as I know some goes to the Vatican even though they're sitting on 10s of billions in gold, art, etc... Saving for a rainy century?
My point here is that neither Catholicism, nor virtually any other self-branded version of Christianity, effectuate the kind of salvation that Jesus promoted. Judgments about Catholicism are not valid, coming from any of its theoretically theological offspring. You don't get fresh water downstream from such a polluted source. You can't just take six books out of the Catholic canon (bible collection) and expect to drink fresh water. You can't continue to reverence the "Old Testament", behave with cognitive dissonance toward it, and accomplish anything new. As for war, human existence, itself, is a kind of cold war against Christ. Cold wars turn hot when one faith clashes with another. Faith being all man has, clashes will come. Christ, being knowledge, technically does not wage war against mankind and his faith. Man wages war with Christ substitutes, which are other, faith filled men (and women). Participating in a hot war with ones fellow man, or a cold war with Christ effectuates the same basic results: continued pseudo existence as a Christ substitute. Otherwise known as hell. The graphic picture of the collective Christ substitution is the image of a man on a cross. This picture represents all our collective existence, as mankind, whether we are in a hot or cold war. It is constant war between flesh and spirit, so to speak. So yah, you want to think twice about killing for a government, but abstaining , while continuing the cold war, does not bring a soul closer to the kind of salvation Jesus recommended. Likewise, a hot war does not take participants farther away. Defensive hot wars are as legitimate as any other kind of self defense from aggressors. But the best self defense of all is not so much a gun as it is the truth. Someone fully aware of the truth does not need the kind of self defense as do most of mankind. An attack would not necessarily be painful, and ones demise is not necessarily a loss. The best defended (by truth) may never be attacked, if one knows when to turn left, or turn right, at the right moment.
There is no Christ! Never was, never will be. Christ is just another bs Jewish story, which sounds plausible, and does the job of tickling the emotional heart strings. The Jews concocted the bullshit scriptures, they are story tellers and bullshit artists. The scriptures are nothing else but a narrative of human psychology, truth, justice, good, evil. But the bullshit Jews add in Satan, add the devil and enemies, fallen angels and all sorts of myths about Noah's fucking Ark and Jonah eaten by a whale and Red sea parting and Adam & Eve bullshit. Then along come another generation of Jewish story tellers, Jesus walks on water, feeds 5000 with a couple loaves bread, turns water into wine and rising from the dead bullshit. Israel is nothing but a clusterfuck nation and Biden is happy to join in with the bullshit and lead the world down the pathway of slippery shit.
To put a finer point in it, anything which reinforces the concept of oneness is a step in right direction since salvation depends on the knowledge of that . Whatever reinforces the concept of separation pulls a mind (with it's body) deeper into hell. The more separation is believed, the more those believers morph into what may be described as demons, as demons tend to demonize (otherize) everybody else. Offensive war attempts to declare that separation is the truth. The presumption is that the enemy is actually a completely disconnected entity, out there somewhere, or over there somewhere. Racism functions as a reinforcement of the concept of separation. Race hustlers would pull every other mind deeper into hell with them It's the separatists who are the most likely to start a hot, offensive war. Any society which is unified around a set of common concepts (values) will be a little safer. This unity functions as a defensive shield, ideally. It is possible to feel the need to fight a defensive war against demons intending to end ones existence sooner than later. It is possible to maintain a theoretical sense of oneness with an enemy, but also have to fight because of the insanity that separatism evokes. All man can ever do, with any kind of self defense, is extend his sense of existence as a Christ substitute, until death, the next of many, arrives later, rather than sooner. The whole purpose of extending ones sense of existence is to continue the momentum of learning about oneness, until it transforms into knowledge, which in turn allows for the escape from hell. Because it takes time to learn, there may be an in-between time where ones safety and security is at risk. While it is true that learning is cumulative (even from one incarnation to the next) , and continues after any individual death, it's fair to expect demons to allow those who want to escape hell, to maximize their time for learning. Arguably the older we get the better we learn as life teaches it's lessons. It's ok, then, for a student to defend his/her safety during the sometimes long learning process. It's counterproductive for a students learning momentum to start an offensive hot war. In my opinion the knowledge of truth is best discovered in a peaceful environment. Ideally, an increasing sense of knowledge leads one far away from conflict zones long before they burst into flames. As a rule of thumb, anything that can promote peace is more productive toward the transformation to a knowledge based mind. It's tempting to try to make adjustments to governing policies to achieve even more peace, and even more prosperity. But this can consume ones whole mind with distractions for a very long time, even thousands of years. It is essentially distractions which slow down the positive learning process toward a mind filled only with knowledge, and empty of anymore faith. The mind which knows only knowledge is safe. Knowledge of oneness is essential to that safety. Till then, avoid starting offensive hot wars, and defend the unity of your community if you have to. Extend your own learning process if you can. Ultimately there is plenty of time, but you really want to escape hell as quickly as possible. Ultimately nobody really dies. Hell is the continuation of change, death being rapid radical change which makes it generally uncomfortable and frightful. Hell is where the characteristics of Christ are blended with the opposite characteristics. That is what I call a Christ substitute. So eternal life is a characteristic of hell, but it is in constant struggle with the opposite characteristics which is expressed as rapid radical change (death). I mean to say that the only thing that can die is change itself. When we stop changing, the mechanism which perpetuates hell dies it's final death. At that point, a mind no longer participates in the experience of hell. We don't die, depending on who and what we KNOW we are. We only die, and keep on dying, depending on who or what we BELIEVE we are. Better to race toward knowledge than to have an arms race with racists.
