Cathie woods ARK is now bark- its a dog. Seriously, how can someone so smart, which she is, blindly buy these high beta, speculative stocks? They work in a strong bull market which I think just ended.
simply stop listening to what she says. Don't need to feel angry / disappointed /furious about her. don't bother whether she earns or loses tons of money. don't bother whether she barks or meow. Don't bother whether BARK Etf is going up or down, doing very well or very badly. Negative emotions are very bad for your trading. So just do your own analysis, manage your own emotions. And don't listen to the Woods.
Risk has paid off very very well for her funds but as you can see in huge sell offs her funds literally collapse, if the nasdaq were to fall a solid 10% her funds could easily lose double that.
Sounds like a queue for me to start nibbling on this ETF. Just DCA on the way down. Maybe like invest $1,000 a day for the next 60 days and then let it ride...
ARKK ATH was $160, 55 trading days ago, currently below 100. In a bull market every long is a genius...
I would not say she is "smart". She is no different from many of us. She just got the opportunity to speak out and made huge waves. A lot of the things she said, like "buying on dips" and very highly concentrated positions, made her look like amateur. Her team also has bad risk management practices. If the market has a huge correction, then ARK will run into liquidity problem. Then she has to unload a lot of illiquid positions. Folks are buying on dips now again. Wish them the best luck.
Nothing to see here. Media is hungry & desparate for female idols, especially in this field. Sorry folks, not in this reality & not in their nature.
What utter bs. She's a top performer in her field like many women are these days. It's too bad some male's have fragile egos and can't deal with it.
