$0 commission is always good. I'll be happy to take that over some unsubstantiated "price improvement" that can never be measured.

Better to sift through her top holdings, do your own dd and use your best judgement, and if you're right you'll smoke the Q's. She updates her holdings nightly.
I like PATH... and I found that one before she did. She owns a bunch too, last I looked at least. I think it was her #2 or #3 holding across all her funds.

The problem with ARK is that, it is so public. Some people can follow her. And yet other people can bet against her.

I'll never do something like she does. Her position is naked. This is why she has to keep talking.

I've learned it's best to put people/personalities aside.... and just trade what you see.
Besides, it's probably a safe bet to assume the pickings of her research team as a whole is better than anything a solo retail schmuck could ever hope to match dd wise in 100 years.
    But I could be wrong.
    ......But probably not.

No. Her team has no reputation. A lot of her team members are very green. Some are still interns. I do not trust those people.

I actually do not follow any stock research or stock holdings that people already know. Then there is no secrete or no edge any longer.

Also my investment returns are far better than her records.

From October 2014 until Feb 2021 she did a pretty good job of outperforming the QQQ as well as her peer group of mid-cap growth consistently. She should have just stuck with her overweight position of Tesla. She would have weathered the storm much better if she held the 20% TSLA stake instead of reducing it.

The strangest thing about the fund is it isn't a momentum fund but rather a fund that bets big on hyper growth futuristic companies. I still believe a pure momentum fund (like MTUM) is a better strategy for this market.

I remember in May 2020 when this broke out I bought it along with the IPO ETF which also performed similarly until Feb 2021 as well. They both had similar holdings like Moderna, Cloudflare, etc. at the time so it makes sense.

I think the Nov 2020 to Feb 2021 move was a fake move brought about by the WSB meme stock traders. I remember that time and anything remotely "cloud" would skyrocket. I bought AI at the IPO open of $108 and I sold it 2 weeks later for around $150. Really after 11/9/2020 (Pfizer Monday) the infinite P/E stocks should have collapsed since the vaccination would eventually end the Pandemic.

  9. LOL, I like that term, 'infinite P/E'. Yesterday morning I was doing some shocking analysis on some of the poorer Oil Sands producers. You know, the little laggards that only accumulate debt every year?

Surprisingly (or not), the worse off the producers were, the higher the P/E. Exact opposite from what you'd expect.

It only proves that even in this day & age, people tend to invest first by Stock Price (for good or bad), not Stock Value.

ARK is a one time phenomenon when that market segment works or worked. Some managers could have made 300% return betting on meme stocks. Look back at the dot com #1. Same.

Also look back at Bill Miller at Legg Mason. He was a legendary for beating S&P about 12 years in a roll. But he never adjusted when the 2008 Financial Crisis came. So he got trashed and got flushed out.

I see Cathie Wood the same. But she did not have the 12-year long record as Bill Miller enjoyed. And her Youtube interviews made her look stupid.
