    The market is taking a breather from its slide and everyone talks AGAIN about a Fed pivot? It's funny how so many people lose sight of the big picture and are so impacted by short term corrections.

    Well you are completely proven wrong. Bitcoin underperformed the stock market in most regards this year and over the past 12 months as well. That's a statistic not my opinion.

    There comes a point where you have to stop looking for validation from others for your trades. You've constructed a market thesis based on vague concepts presented as facts -
    - 30% is enough for a bear market - is not statistics;
    - Market makers are losing money, they must buy now - is not quantified ;
    - Go long now! - if it is a good trade, why the need to persuade others to go long now;
    - Enough is enough, this market cannot go down forever - it certainly can, but it can also move sideways for a decade;
    - Buy crypto and you are safe! - Cryptos have been acting at least as bad as every other risk asset if not even worse.

    Mohamed El-Erian: "The Fed will only pivot if a market accident occurs" - somewhere there is some other person that is saying exactly the opposite.

    I wish you best of luck in finding your guiding light.

    How the hell does a market maker lose monies? All he is doing is buying at the bid and selling at the ask. This is another of those strokes of genius thinking. No way will a market maker lose monies. Only the dumb that does not even understand what the market maker is doing is talking BS. Not happening now or even in the next 100 years. And these ET trolls wonder why they are losing all their monies trading?

    The last 2 days have been interesting. Indices holding in there even with Euro & Pound going down especially today. First time in a long time I have seen the USDollar rise a lot and the indices barely lower (currently (0935 PDT) GBP -1.65% NQ -0.21%).

    Playing? By putting your life savings, kids' future education, retirement on the line? Not for me. For me this is a hard, cold, merciless business and industry, populated by greed, deceit, cheating, and using unfair methods to get ahead of others. Very hard to make an honest living.

    Perplexed to see you still use obscure assets to express a view that can be implemented at much lower cost through futures or straight ETF shorts. I guess you can't impress your disciples through vanilla instruments anymore?

    It is because currencies and equity markets are not always correlated. Correlation is dynamic between those asset classes. These days markets are driven almost entirely by central bank policy and that shifts volatility to currencies and fixed income securities.
