Casinos with good internet connects?

  1. Anyone know the best casinos when it comes to in-room connections in AC, LV, or CT?

Imagine waking up in the morning, trading a few hours, hitting the buffet, then back up to the room for the close, then spending the rest of the night at the poker tables, repeat, etc. :D

  2. Like going to heaven before dying !!!!

Someone please respond, I'm going to Vegas in November for the Online Trading expo.

  3. The only time I went to the Online Trading expo was in 2001, when I was just starting to become interested in trading. I distinctly remember two things:

    1. Wizetrade. I didn't know anything about trading, but those red and green lights filled me with doubt, so I asked the guy who was doing the presentation how it worked, and when he responded "It is a very complicated formula with the y1 and the z1." I just thought What a waste of time being here.

    2. Then I met John Bollinger, and it was all good. There was that guy, and while he was not exuberant with happiness, I could see in his eyes and hear in his voice that he had once started out in a very similar situation to mine and then reached his goal of finding answers to certain questions. Plus he has also earned a decent amount of money in the process. So there was definitely hope for people like me. But of course he couldn't help me very much with my questions about day trading, he just said "Day trading is something completely different. It is not my thing. I'm not saying anything against it, but it's just not for me." When I observed him trying to draw a candle on the computer screen at a subsequent presentation, I understood.

  4. You met John Bollinger? Wow that's cool! What's he like? Is he as humble and introverted as they say? Did you get anything interesting out of him?

  5. Lobster,

I have been trading for over 20 years..never went to an expo before. I like Casino gambling (poker).
    Tax deductable ?
Definately not interested in "those green red yellow" stop light programs.

  6. To be honest, I never quite found the time to seriously get into poker. But I actually learned how to play blackjack profitably. The catch of course is that the casinos have computer programs now that monitor everyone who bets $25 or more at a time, so I can't make a living playing blackjack, but it provides me with a unique kind of relaxation. When I sit down at a blackjack table, my brain seems to shutdown completely. All I do is play, count, and small talk. Everything else just disappears. I don't know where I am, what time it is, who I am, why I hate my life.

When I get drunk (the few times I have) or when I sleep, when I watch TV, trade, play chess or computer games, I always have those sad thoughts in the back of my head gnawing at me, sending me nightmares, causing my intestine to tie in a knot etc. But blackjack somehow takes it all away. When I used to spend weekends in Las Vegas, I sometimes wondered whether I had sat at the blackjack tables a night, a day and a night or a night, a day, a night, and another day. So I decided to take a girl with me one time. She told me the next day that we had had to change tables three times (because they shut down certain tables at certain times of the day). I could have sworn I had not stood up the entire afternoon, night, and subsequent day and night. But then again, I didn't really remember anything between sitting down at the table and standing up when I was getting tired (apparently a day later). The other thing I know is that I made about 80% less than projected for that amount of games, I guess I was making mistakes that I didn't realize.
