"Clunkergate" (which the media would quickly label it if it weren't an Obaminstration program) is a textbook example of the broken window fallacy. It's every bit as moronic as Crap-n-Pay, beer diplomacy and everything else coming from a community organizer who has never held a real job or any real personal accountability.
Right wingers criticized the stimulus bill because it did not have enough stimulus. NOW, the part of the bill that has the most impact on the economy (it was way too small but whatever) is getting slammed because...WHY? Oh yeah...it's a free country and they can throw logic out the window and complain all they want, so that's what they do. The libs do the same shit. I love this two party system.
The ET "neo-cons" are pretty funny, that is for sure. They rail against "Cap & Trade" even though McCain AND Palin supported a cap on carbon emissions. Most here don't even understand that the version of "Cap & Trade" that passed the House was totally "gutted". 85% of the pollution credits are being given out by the Feds, for FREE. It's corporate welfare at its finest! And last month, the GOP voted against the Emergency War Funding Bill that was a stop-gap measure to fund the troops and military operations up to the beginning of the new fiscal year (Oct. 1st even though 85% of the funding went to the troops. So much hypocrisy from the GOP and their neo-con friends. How ironic.
The cash for clunkers is only helping out the auto industry, thats why they pushed it. Im sure they wished they had pushed it earlier so that GM would not have gone bankrupt, oh well. Were going to see a huge uptick in auto sales come the next 1-3 months and then its going to be downhill from there. All these plans to help stimulate the economy by offering $4500 for new cars, $8000 tax credits for first time home buyers and every thing else they offer to help prop the economy up is going to be pulled away from the consumer once the economy sees its first step towards growth and that in my opinion will have a huge psychological impact on the way consumer thinks about making purchases.
My bad. I stated I thought they were going to cancel this because it is the only visibly effective stimulus program so far. Looks like they are going continue it. Good going.
No nation can get out of debt by incurring more debt. Ask anyone with a credit card. Hussein is no more than Bush Part II, despite the social differences.
You forget you're dealing with EliteTRAITORS. It seems all the birther maggots have infested this board. These miserable utter failures and low lifes wake up every afternoon hoping and praying that something, someone, somewhere, does enough damage to send the economy over the abyss. Personally I think each one of these maggots ought to be shot. And if things do get worse, it'll get there.
They don't listen to honest taxpayers, only eachother. They say what they must to get the seat, then it's their show.
So now what, it ends tonight? lol But wait, we got to squeeze in a few more customers to make more commission! Oh ok...let's extend it to next week now.
