cash dax in esignal

    noticed that european cash indices (dax, cac) in esignal have stopped working the past few days.

    anyone else having similar problems? do you have to pay extra for this feed now?

    Maybe Esignal support can chime in.

    On 2007-01-24 eSignal sent the following email:

    Please be aware that effective February 1, 2007, the symbols $DAXI (DAX 30 Index) and $CAC (CAC 40 Index) will no longer be available. In order to continue receiving these two popular European Indices, you must use the symbols noted below and subscribe to the specific exchange package that provides this content.

    Customers interested in either of these Indexes should be subscribing directly to the Exchanges listed below.

    Deutsche Boerse: Indices and ETFs

    DAX 30 Index is symbol $DAX-XET

    Euronext: Indices Basic Services
    (Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon and Paris)

    CAC 40 Index is symbol $PX1-PAR

    thanks.

    so you have to pay $2/month for the german indices now eh.

    guess they're thinking of new ways to increase fees. hope they're exerting as much thought in improving the service and features.
     
  5. It's similar with futures.... they increased the cost for Eurex, too.... and rarely you can find a datafeed with Eurex for free as it happens previously. Now also with the demo software you can't access to realtime Eurex because they are asking a fees to the platforms vendors.
