Its entry is according to where the unreaized is in comparison to its last cycle so I cant say. Its not that simple. You would actually need to trade in FXgame according to the cash and carry rules.
I dont know? its never happened to me that way. good question. They say decimals are saved in memory for the next payment, but I have not tested it. Say if open a LONG position that pays $0.58 per 10,000 units over 24 hours at 16:50 EST. Then closed it at 17:10 EST. How much interest do I get?
its a daily rolling calculation and the trades do not last but a few months at most. As the rolling calculation nets changes the subsequent increments are immediatly adjusted before thay are filled. I see. What happen if the volatility of last year isn't equal to the volatility of this year? What if its greater this year? Are we in any danger? Will the system fall apart?
I see. Actually, if this entry method has an edge, you do not have to worry about collecting interests at all! Just find the edge and trade regular lots! Using 1000 unit lots you were able to get $200+ in trading profits in 72 days. Imagine if you used mini-lots! $2000+ profits in 72 days? Or if the entry has an edge, you just set a Take Profit and Stop Loss then trade standard 100k lots. Even if you only make 50 pips in 3 months, thats $500 for a standard lot!
remiraz, I could call the trades I guess, because I trade Cash & Carry...But that part of it should be in another Journal... Or you could do it too... I must get accustomed to the new cash & carry though..
Hmmmm...then i think Cash & Carry isn't really what i'm looking for as it has some "edge" or "entry selection" elements in it. Meaning the whole system bottleneck is that the edge exists, if the edge doesn't exists, it'll fall apart. I was hoping this would be similiar to a "quant arbitrage model" thingy. Thanks for all the help anyway, i'll consult the guy u mentioned with the pure carry system~
But yours requires an edge that may or may not exists. Can yours still work without this "edge" in trade entries?
There is no edge. I simply look at the unrealized...This is a money management system. By the way, the daily injection of interest also helps to keep the drawdown low in a small way... IB pays it monthly don't they?
