Updates for this week: Entered about 4-5 positions this week and exited with some profit. Started last week at about 600 AUD. Now is 654 AUD. One heavy lost on long term XAUUSD (gold) = about 330 pips.
Good lad, keep it simple, no tight SLs, ignore the wanna be gurus and keep taking those profits. Dont get to disheartened when you work out how many years it will take to even get to 20k, being poor sucks.
Before we start training our cats to do something or to stop doing something, we need to look at how cats learn. They don't understand English, they can't read books or attend lectures. They learn by experience. If the experience is good, they will try to repeat it. If the experience is unpleasant, your cat will try to avoid it in the future. Cats enjoy raking the furniture with their claws, so they continue to do it. But it's quite a shock when they stick their nose in a candle flame, so they won't do that again.
Hi J_Smith, I am sorry but I have to trade to make some money for my living. I am fully responsible for my actions and I am willing to accept the consequences. Anyway, thank you for being generous and willing to teach me (sincerely).
Trading isnt something that can be taught, we all different issues, ways of seeing the same thing, sadly its about screen time and confidence which that gives to enter and exit trades when required without hesitation. Keep plugging on!
I guess there was no secret sauce by @J_Smith ? In his defense, he did say he was never going to give it to you. But perhaps you figured out that with him talking in circles and never quite being direct enough with any answer, you saw that you were going around in circles? Last time he tried to get others to trade options. Perhaps not a bad idea given limited funding, but takes you in a whole different direction. At any rate, I think that if anyone offers to help, the very first thing they should do is show you what they are doing. If they cannot produce examples of their own trading, why are they qualified to teach? Can they even teach? Heck, can they even trade?
I did say I had concerns about your age, and that very few can see before experience, so do not think you are any different than most, which is of course the main problem What ever you do, do not try to impress anyone here, as most here are Walter Mitty's, and general terms like the more screen time the better, is typical by those who have no clue about trading the odds. Just remember what I said, as some day you will look back and say that idiot J_S was right! J_S
