  1. I am a middle office support staff for a sell side institutional block desk at a large IB. Due to recent events, the desk is not trading which means I go to work to do nothing. My learning curve is completely flat------. I might have a offer at a buy side firm for a managed account trader position. This position would allow me to trade domestic and international equities on a retail level. Do I jump into the managed account retail world or look to stay and support another institutional desk at a HF or IB and hope to move into a trading assistant role? Would the managed account position hurt me later on when I look to transition back into institutional trading?

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks.
