Regardless of our disagreement, i am very happy you are improving healthwise. Health is truly the only real wealth. With that said, why do you equate "trading room" with TA? Hamp
Great points, Viper. I can attest to the benefits of posting leading to meeting the right folks in the business. You need to post quality material, and they will find you. If you post cats, pots, pictures or nonsense--- you are digging your own grave. Hamp
I never equate trading room with TA. That's your assumption in error. In contrast, the trading rooms are being used to "educate" their students. The students uses the trading room to "further" their education. That education includes topis such as "chart analysis" and chart analysis is a form of technical analysis. Yet, I have made references to a prior discussion (years ago) with someone that stated there are no universities with trading rooms that are accredited. Same person that also stated (years ago) that you can not learn "chart analysis" at an accredited university. Someone replied and stated he first learned about "Bollinger Bands" at Penn State School of Business. At last check...Bollinger Bands is a form of TA. If not, my recent illness has really screwed up my head. I just believe that one needs to research the universities with "trading rooms" and then talk to actual students that uses those "trading rooms" to determine if they are or are not learning TA or Chart Analysis at their universities as a chapter in a book or earning credits (usually just 1 credit) when they attend a meeting by a guest speaker that talks about TA. Regardless, you're absolutely correct. Our health is truly the only wealth. I survived something that all my doctors have stated many have not survived...I'm lucky and many things is new to me although very familiar. For example, I barbecued today for lunch outside with temperatures near -20...felt very alive today. Have a good day sir.
No doubt, the basics are always covered, it is part of a well rounded education. On the series 3 test there are basic questions related to what folks call TA, its not like 50% of the test or anything like that, but, again there are questions. From what I understand, basic concepts of TA are still taught in various curriculums, but as with all things that fall into disfavor, its not really as emphasized as much as it was. ` The Ever Emphasizing VIPER
Unlike you, most people here do not need to whore and use knee pads for anonymous business contacts at an online forum, so I am fine posting cats and pots because it is as intelligent as the diaper duff you contribute. Who the fuck trawls through ET posts looking for business partners? You should stick with milking funds out of the hedge fund association .
Think you are anonymous, little ghoster? Knock off the libel or you will find out differently very fast. Hampton
That's my point, TA is discussed in schools as part of a well rounded education. Someone can learn about TA via topics from a class or book work about the markets without learning anything about actual trading. First time I ever learned "chart analysis" was actually in an organic chemistry class. Nowadays, my real estate agent uses chart analysis to chart the real estate markets. Now she's talking about "correlation models" with other cities buying/selling home markets. The way she's going...she'll soon be plotting "indicators" to do forecast models. Strange, marketsurfer threaten "libel" too in public and private. Then again, maybe this is none of my business. I'm outta here now that things suddenly got serious.
Libel... ha ha....let me know when you want to file the lawsuit, I will recommend some good lawyers in Florida I know.
