I'm looking for advice on a career in trading. I am currently in college at St. Lawrence University. I'm looking to end up, long term, in trading. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on a place to start. I'm looking for a few years experience, and some time to build up a cash base to back myself. I'm just wondering what entry-level positions I should look for to gain background knowledge for trading so that I may eventually end up in a trading position. I'm an econ-math double, minoring in applied stats. As a member of the investment club, I've been involved in investment games every semester, and have won more than half (hence my interest in trading).

on a side note, I'm curious of everyones opinions on my school. My father is in medicine and he treats several finance professionals who speak highly of my school. But I'm wondering if its just because he's their doctor :) .
