  2. 1. Are you sure your computer has DVI? The reason I ask is because somebody posted a pic of the back of the computer you said (or he thought) you were going to buy.. .and it had only HDMI and VGA. If you're not sure, look up a pic of a DVI and VGA connection.

    2. I don't recall Nvida having "HDMI on a DMS-59 cable" as an option to run their cards... may or may not work.

    3. There are DMS-59 cables with a VGA connector on one branch and a DVI connector on the other.... not widely available, however. Don't know about HDMI.

If your monitors don't have DVI or DP, the task of getting them hooked up into a 4-monitor display is more difficult... unless that HDMI DMS-59 cable works.

  3. This will work. Also comes in x1 configuration and PCI for adding monitors 5-8.

ATI came with the FirePro line as a direct competitor to Nvidia NVS... they were late to the party.. something like about 10 years... but they're here now.

Might want to verify the requirement (or lack of) for "paired monitors" as is the case with the 2460. NVS has no such paring requirement.

(I have NVS... my arrangement does not satisfy ATI's paring requirement so FirePro cards would not work for me unless I bought new monitors.)

Shit!!!!!!!!! My monitors DO NOT have DP or DVI. They all only have HDMI and VGI.

Challenge:: I would like to connect it with HDMI (to get digital signals). So now given this new info, what can i do??? still scratching my head!!

    Scataphagos:

I think by now you know every thing. I never thought connecting multiple monitors would be so challenging. I simply bought good monitors that were out on sale without thinking about whether they have DVI or DP etc.

Is there any adapter that could fix this problem ? Good news is that I bought the 2 new monitors from BJ's on Nov 29th and I can still return it today (I hope).

I am going to try to return my 2 brand new monitors which are still inside the boxes.

Will keep you update. So what 27" LED monitors do you recommend? obviously some thing that would have a DVI, Displayport etc. Any good deals? Thanks again for all the advise.

What are the best monitors that would make it easy for multi-monitor set up? I am looking to go bigger to 27"

Why do you guys think this will not work with

NVIDIA NVS 300 by PNY 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express Gen 2 x16 DMS-59 to Dual DVI-I SL or VGA Profesional Business Graphics Board, VCNVX300X16-PB

Why can't I buy the above card from amazon for 79.99 and buy this adaptor?? I don't understand. I would rather keep my monitors which i got on thanksgiving sale.

  9. Suggestion:

Make sure you have a profitable system before you invest too much in your setups.

Many get excited about trading, only get excited about consistent profits.

    Sorry for the harsh reality.
