I need the card to support 1920 X 1080 Pixels. It has been suggested to me that I should go with 2 dual cards and save money. I agree. Question: Which ones? Where? Just provide me link so i can go ahead and purchase 2 dual cards. Thanks again for all your support.
I am almost about to purchase this card. Good deal or not. Keep in mind that my motherboard is also ASUS. So it makes sense to buy ASUS card as well not that it is mandatory. http://www.amazon.com/GDDR5-technol...+x16+HDCP+Ready+CrossFireX+Support+Video+Card
I can vouch for amazon, they have a rock solid return policy. A radeon hd 7770 is an older card, but for the price it should work ok. Dual fan so it is going to run fairly silent I think for charting. Remember, you will need an active displayport adapter too, not passive, if your display doesn't support displayport directly. ATI cards require active adapters. EDIT: This card is factory overclocked, it may run hotter than you need it too. I avoid overclocked video cards. Just a random question... have you looked locally? I like getting video cards locally, so I can return them if something about them isn't to my satisfaction. Best Buy usually has something decent, and if it isn't you can bring it right back.
1. Do your monitors have Display Port and would you use that? 2. Have you decided... eBay or new from retailer?
No. You can't have 6 monitors that way. Remember your motherboard has only 2 PCIe X16 slots. You can only plug in 2 external cards for PCIe X16 bus. I suppose you can have 3 x PCI display cards (but PCI is the older bus type). Or have a mix of PCI and PCIe X16 cards. They may work okay if you stick the same make.
Not sure about his board, but most newer motherboards don't have the pci slots anymore. Furthermore, even if they do, if you try to run a display on pci express and also pci on the new boards they might not like that. I tried it on my new motherboard and the pci express card gave graphic artifacts. Works fine on my older motherboard though (pentium 4).
Scat: Looks like his monitor has a HDMI and a D-sub in the back: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/81HPiMFwlqL._AA1500_.jpg
