I think there've been a few threads on this in the past.

I'm just curious whether anyone has insight regarding the various carbon/green futures now being listed on various exchanges. Will any of these catch on, will there be sufficient liquidity for outside speculators to want to get involved?

And if it does catch on, which exchange is winning/will win? I know ICE Futures Europe, NYMEX Green Exchange offer contracts along these lines.

I've traded ECX CFI futures on ICE. liquidity is OK. The exchange fees are really big, 8 EUR a round turn for a 10 EUR tick.

You can trade ECX CER forward too but since it's a forward, gains are only banked at expiration.
