I have a problem with my HP5180 printer and I want to uninstall and reinstall. However, I cannot remove some of the bits and pieces and now I am stuck. Is there a free uninstaller that might finish the job for me. "PerfectUninstall" claims to be free. Or am I going about all this in the wrong manner thanks jjf
You have to install the uninstall software first before installing any program you later might want to uninstall... that you now have already installed, so that won't work. Here's whatcha do to get rid of it... install any uninstall software, reinstall the printer software, then use the uninstall software to get rid of it. Chances are the paths of installed files on your second install will match your first install, and that should get rid of all installed files. If not, use the printer's application or install CD to uninstall, then manually delete menu items and shortcuts .
Thanks GT that had crossed my mind. Also, I have two HDs and the problem relates to HP being installed of F drive. What if I install HP again but onto C drive. Will this fool the programme into missing the mess on the F drive. thanks
