Hmmmmmm? I thought people are responsible for themselves. If you drink draino you die. If you smoke a plant God put here, you eat alot of food, laugh, and are doscile... Hmmmmmm Gotta love the U.S Govt. and the ignorance that follows.

You ever hear of a mad, crazed person on "weed" killing mass numbers of people?????

Look back at history. They were trying to control the black population thorugh this. Period. End of story...

"Pot crazed 'Negroes' attacking ____, ____, and ____ while 'high' on the "wicked weed." (Sad huh?!?!?!) All the blacks wanted was to be treated like HUMANS, not monkeys who should be picking cotton as they were OWNED.

Outlawing Marijauna through ignorance is something I do not agree with. It's old stuff that's just that. Old thinking...

I know Christians who claim Marijuana brings them closer to God, and that's something LEGAL U.S alcohol has NEVER can/could accomplish.

I don't smoke the stuff, but see where it's NOT supposed to be illegal either. It's all about govt tax $$$$. Sad...

    Waco up America!!!!

  4. Pot is a gateway drug and we all know it.

Its a gateway in the following ways:

increase in police spending for equipment

    Increase in police overtime

    Increase in prosecution funding

Increase in Federal tax dollars getting handed out to communities that are addicted to fed dollars for DARE programs and other "educational" programs

    Increase in prison building contracts

    Increase in prison guard jobs

    Increase in parole worker employment

Increase in Federal Judgeships (over 30%+ fed cases are drug related) along with the court reporters filing clerks etc.......

Gave us wonderful things like asset forfeiture laws where the govt doesn't have to go through pesky things like the constitution to take away someones property

So the next time someone says its a gateway drug (like someone willing to do other drugs says no because pot is illegal) you can honestly agree with them.

Full disc - I dont smoke pot. But I am sick of all the wasted police resources, money, and destroyed families this issue causes BECAUSE its against the law.

  5. The main drawback of long term use is long term loss of short term memory.

    "destroyed families"

Everyone take a reality check. More families are destroyed by porn addictions which result in loss of trust, intimacy, and human connection, thus demise, than alcohol or pot. Good God how many times have I read on this board, "what do you do in the slow times?" "PORN"

  10. It's really easy to figure out that prohibition does not reduce the use of drugs, use is less where there is little prohibition any where in the world. So you ask yourself "Self, why is there prohibition?".. it's because the profits go up most likely.

As far as pot being harmless, I say bullshit, schizophrenia studies among pot heads whether short term after use or longer term, indicates that pot aggravates it... I'd say people use way too much of it at a time, I've found that a little second hand smoke can bring on a most pleasant euphoria if you give it time but a few hits of some insanely strong shit will just screw my mind up royally...

There are guys that have the job of burning confiscated mary jane... "I'd like the downwind position sir"...
