I am curious to know what your definition of significant uptrend is. I follow two MA's, a 3 1/2 day for swing trades and a 55 day.. we're above both of them...

I am glad that you guys enjoy reading this thread, as I enjoy writing it! I am also curious to see how these patterns hold up in a down market. For me a "significant uptrend" is simply a higher high/lower low. The definitions of patterns in TA are best described as loose. So keeping it simple works for me. Supposedly the three black crows candle pattern is one of the rarest. Usually reversal pattern with something like a 53% of the instrument having an up day following it. Have fun with it!
I am getting rid of my AIQ scanning software and downloading Thompson one. I will no longer be able to scan EOD for candles and other goodies. My needs have far surpassed what AIQ can offer me in real time data. I would like to continue with a new thread posting my daily SPY and SPX options trades. If nobody objects of course......
