After Union representatives in Boston discovered a âcancer clusterâ amongst TSA workers linked with radiation from the body scanners, the TSA sought to downplay the matter and refused to issue employees with dosimeters to measure levels of exposure. Who makes those scanners? A solution to prove their safety is to ask the owners of the company/its board of directors/ceos/decision_makers/etc to stay next to those machines (while the machines are working) for a reasonable amount of time. It would be interesting to know how many of those guys would show up.
