Are you just getting lazy haha https://www.theguardian.com/books/2...ow-escalates-over-illustration-of-chinese-man https://www.npr.org/sections/codesw...re-full-of-problems-why-cant-we-put-them-down And to be honest the image is not so outright racist as it is an o utdated image of a culture that was prevelant almost 100 years ago... somethings need to be updated and getting rid of that image is not a bad thing...like you all ever gave a fuck about that book anyway. Adn the "complaint" argument is funny. We have seen racits ask incredulously, "Why didn't Black people complain about blackface bakc in the 1930s??" because you were hanging them for accidentally looking at a white person the wrong way, why would they stand up and complain about mistreatment...
So this is the best you can come up with. Yet the book is still be published in Chinese and is sold in China.
You asked for a complaint.. I found you one, now you move the goal posts and ask me to control what happens in China.
So if I found a chinese person complaining then you will agree that it shoudl no longer be published? Its removal came after authors Mo Willems, Mike Curato and Lisa Yee co-signed a letter calling for its removal. They described the imagery as “a jarring racial stereotype of a Chinese man, who is depicted with chopsticks, a pointed hat, and slanted slit eyes. We find this caricature of ‘the Chinaman’ deeply hurtful, and have concerns about children’s exposure to it.” There...... now you eitehr will come up with an excuse or keep moving the goal posts... Is that person not the right chinese?
I will agree you finally found one Chinese person complaining. Now what about the 1.4 Billion. Maybe you can convince them to stop publishing the book in Chinese.
Ahhhh there goes the goal posts moving...... don't make demands if you want to welch but then call DeSantis out for continuing to change the narrative haha
You know I have not heard Africa complain about lynchings in the U.S. so we should not cancel racism and segregation. GWB logic
