The article doesn’t mention amazon caving some ultra left wing pressure. My guess is amazon no longer has the license for the version you were seeking but has the license to the dreamworks remaster.

No, the article wasn't to show that Amazon succumbed to pressure, just that there was pressure and I made the assumption that amazon removed it accordingly, because that's just what they'd do.

You know what they say about assuming things.

  5. I don't know much about optics, particularly the red dot's designed for CQB. At one point they were pretty pricey but I am seeing them now for <$50, with pretty good reviews from users. What's your take on the difference between a $50 red dot and something like a Trijicon or EOTech?

I do, indeed. In today's world, its more likely to be true, unfortunately.

I have an EOTech. Got it a long time ago. It is on my SCAR-H, in front of the 2x magnifier (that I can swap to the side to just use the dot). I think a dot is a dot, but the prices for EOTech have come down somewhat since. You're paying more for the warranty and service, though I suppose it does have a dimmer/brighter feature to change the circle's brightness.

I don't think so. I think there are some parties that want you to believe that the other side is radicalized.

In the article you posted, a lot of leftists (as you call us) thought the war on Rudolph was dumb. Some of the right (a particular guy with the last name trump who was not elected president) fan the flames by casting the issue as 1/2 the country wants Rudolph banned.

Tactical optics and a big box of 30 rnd mags.

I have never fired a weapon with modern optics and large magazine. I'm probably going to really suck at the range. Embarrassing but it is what it is.

I'm deadly with an M1A and iron sights but I'll try to join the modern era. The builder is going to help me regain my marksmanship and make some range trips with me.

From Tsing and his little boy not being able to download poor little Rudolph to homemade AK’s. Now that’s Optics. The only thing your deadly with is...
