It appears that you don't understand the basics of how international government relations work. The executive leaders only need to speak directly if there was a disagreement about top-level policy. For example if the U.S. was saying open the border, and Trudeau was saying to leave it closed -- then there would need to be an executive meeting. Since both the U.S. and Canada agree the border needs to be opened -- then the issue is left to administrative officials in both governments to sort out the details and what type of aid or assistance can be provided. These type of details are not covered in top executive conversations.

Not sure where this all goes except to say that I'm pretty sure Trudeau is going to face a confidence vote in Parliament. He claims that some high percentage of Canadians support the mandates and restrictions. That has become difficult to believe. I think we are going to see some of the more tyrannical regimes fall if they don't do an immediate Boris Johnson and drop the mandates and restrictions. I'm not saying that conservatives will gain power in Canada but I don't think Trudeau will be leading the government.
Just a reminder a much larger portion of the Canadian population supports Trudeau than the "freedom convoy".
