Good to know you support funding insurrections from outside a nation. After all, any insurrection is just another form of protest, eh.

But you enjoy it even more when they parade around with Nazi and confederate flags. This is a “protest” that you can really get behind.

  2. Well, those are the things you say when you have run out of arguments.

Otherwise, I do not accept your premise that a valid civil rights protest, such as the truckers and other lockdown opponents engage in- constitutes an insurrection. That is the hole you want me to step into but are not having much luck at it.

Even if and when undesireable or illegal events occur withing a protest movement that does not negate the valid purpose the larger group is trying to achieve nor does that constitute an insurrection. Lots of violent, unlawful things occurred during the 60;s civil rights movement and there were plenty of bad actors involved who tried to exploit the protests for their personal agendas that did not make it an insurrectionist movement, although the demands for the government to change were clearly being made.

in regard to your statement "But you enjoy it even more when they parade around with Nazi and confederate flags" that is something that you pulled out of your arse when you ran out of arguments. I merely pointed out that you had called for government shutdowns of protests in Canada based on such things as the appearance of some nazi flags or confederate flags without a showing on your part that that- however reprehensible- is illegal under Canadian law - which it is not. Proving once again that you think that in a free society government should be used to shut down protests based on your conclusion that they are doing things that piss you off. Not enough.

Anyway, as I have said several times, you have developed a real appetite for using government power against the people based on your covid obsession. The truckers are participating in a civil rights movement as they see it. You think that permanent lockdown and other restrictions are the right of the government because you love that sort of thing. And yes, I get that protests can get messy and can piss a lot of people off. You certainly have a good understanding of that when it comes to the lefty movements you support.

Meanwhile, the party you support has opened the border to every person in the world who has ill intent against our people and our government to just come right in and do their thing. But you are worried about some Canucks in Ottawa who just want their freedom back.

I clearly listed out -- as per what the police stated -- many of the things ALL these "trucker protestors" are doing which are illegal under Canadian law. It is long overdue to start the arrests and put an end to this nonsense.

Its long overdue to put an end to your nonsense. Two years in and you are wrong on just about everything.

  6. Okay, well, you are welcome to send the truckers an email telling them that you are an American and have decided that it is long overdue that they be arrestd and their protest be ended.

Let us know how that works out. That would be about like being in a town meeting in New England and having Freddy Foreskin show up and tell them what he has decided they should do.

  7. More women in the next video please.

Montrealers, QC, or PEI would be okay.

Good to know you support arsonists and seditionists...

Ottawa police arson unit investigates fire lit in downtown apartment lobby

The Ottawa police arson unit is investigating a fire residents say was deliberately set in their apartment building lobby in the Centretown area early Sunday morning.

Matias Munoz, who lives at the apartment located near the intersection of Lisgar and Metcalfe streets, said a few tenants woke up to find evidence of someone trying to start a fire near the elevators.

"When they woke up early in the morning, [they] discovered some little pucks that are like square bricks that are meant to start fires," Munoz said on CBC Radio's Ottawa Morning Monday.

"They were charred and a whole box of them was kind of, you know, laid out all over the lobby of the building."

He explained how residents were first confused by the discovery and then, through the building manager, Munoz and some other tenants were able to view the security footage.

"We all were a little scared, a little nervous, and we got together and kind of put our heads together to figure out how we're going to approach this," Munoz said.

On the footage, he described seeing two individuals lighting a fire in the lobby shortly after 5 a.m. Sunday. After the suspects leave, another individual is seen coming into view and quickly extinguishing the fire near the elevators, Munoz said.

Mayor says protesters have 'malicious intent'
Ottawa police have confirmed to CBC News the incident is being investigated by its arson unit after receiving a call for service.

"We cannot provide any further details at this time as the investigation is ongoing," a police spokesperson wrote in an email to CBC, asking anyone with information to contact investigators.

Munoz said there was a confrontation between some residents and a few anti-vaccine mandate protesters outside just hours before the fire.

Police have not confirmed any link between their investigation into this incident and the ongoing convoy protest.

At a special council meeting Monday afternoon, Mayor Jim Watson spoke about the alleged arson incident, including it among a list of harassment incidents against residents and disruptions in the city he blamed on the ongoing protest.

"Yesterday we learned of a horrific story that clearly demonstrates the malicious intent of these protesters occupying our city," he said, referring to the two suspects captured in the security footage posted online.

"Thankfully no one was hurt, but this story could have ended very, very differently. It's extremely disturbing, and points to a desire to harm our residents."

Meanwhile, Coun. Diane Deans said one alleged detail from witnesses — that the front door was duct-taped to prevent those outside from entering the building — showed "the escalation of their tactics knows no bounds."

Ottawa police Deputy Chief Steve Bell told council a full team from the arson unit is investigating and working to identify suspects.
