So you actually live in Canada and you dont understand that the leader of the country is called the Prime Minister? You tried to correct someone who called Harper the president by telling the person that in Canada Harper is called the Premier, the leaders of the provinces/territories are called the premier. Apparently you didnt get the joke when i called him "Congressman Obama." You dont even understand the difference between the Premier of a province, and the Prime Minister of Canada, and they let you vote? This is the kind of person Liberals rely on for votes.
Yes, why wouldn't I want to walk into a self-serving, loaded question, eh? http://www.blacktriangle.org/blog/?p=1132 http://scci-iraq.com/harpers-conservatives-wanted-canada-to-join-the-war-in-iraq/652/
I don't think Harper is anywhere near smarter than Obama. He's just more of an end-justifies-the-means kind of guy. You know, a conservative.
"Presidential" is closer to "Prime Minister" then "Premier" is. And yes, I am judging your decision about Stephen Harper based on a mistake I pointed out multiple times to you, and that you had an entire day to correct, when you dont know the difference between the Premier of a province and the Prime Minister of Canada, I find it deeply unsettling that your vote for a liberal who promises "free ice cream", will cancel out someone elses vote who actually has some sort of basic knowledge of how the Canadian political system works.
The guy is 64 years old. He completed his undergraduate degree in 1969, and then subsequently left Canada to study abroad (first at Oxford, then Harvard). He continued to live abroad until returning in 2005 to the University of Toronto, where he promptly announced his intention to become the Liberal party candidate. So lets do the math. 1969 to 2005 is 36 years total living outside of Canada. 36 years abroad out of 64 years total = 56% of his life living somewhere other than Canada. It's safe to assume that the first 20 or so years of his life he was unable to move out of Canada due to his age. So of the 28 years Ignatieff has lived in Canada, it's likely that only about 8 total years were voluntary. Like I said, the Visiting Professor came back for only one reason. The rule the country. Look up some of the Ignatieff quotes on the internet. Before he decided he deserved to come back to Canada and run for Prime Minister, he frequently praised the USA (even calling it his home), while at the same time bashing Canada. Do you really want this guy in charge of your country?
Honestly? You find these websites credible? This quote is precious from the first website: http://www.blacktriangle.org/blog/?p=1132 "He supported the Iraq war in 2003 for humanitarian reasons." The second website is total rubbish. Do they even cite an author? What is this, some kind of blog/website done by someone in Iraq? Read this quote: "Harper and his Conservative party (now the minority Government of Canada) strongly advocate for war in the Middle East, have successfully pushed through increases in military spending in Canada as requested by the Bush Administration, and promote a repressive security state that targets Arabs, Muslims and ethnic minorities who do not support their aggressive neo-conservative agenda." http://scci-iraq.com/harpers-conservatives-wanted-canada-to-join-the-war-in-iraq/652/ The author clearly has an agenda. The fact that you would even quote these websites brings down YOUR credibility. With regards to the questions I asked, your silence is deafening. Perhaps you would feel better about answering them if I worded them in a more indirect, touchy feely kind of way? Does it bother you that Ignatieff lived most of his life anywhere BUT Canada? Do you agree with Ignatieff's stance on the Iraq war?
Are you saying that Harper did not support the war in Iraq? http://www.ctv.ca/CTVNews/Canada/20030404/harper_fox_interview_030404/
Nope, never said he didn't. You sure do like to try and read my mind and put words in my mouth. Again, I noticed the absence of any answers to my questions regarding Iggy. Is it that you can't find an acceptable excuse as to Iggy's visiting status, and his pro-Iraq war stance? Or is it that you are incapable of admitting any fault in any Liberal, regardless of facts?
