Yeah, it s not like anybody care about 1 or 3 years of their life, or that one can expect damaging government decisions to leave long lasting sequels. Well, enjoy ur freedoms, they sure make a lot of waves in the news worldwide. Admiration for Canada must be now the highest ever. Especially that u are again allowed in the street it must feel great. Be careful not to shake hands though, that's very bad. You guys are so lucky, you can be proud of this advanced and free society.
Our streets never closed. Masks have never been required outside either. Basically you believe in a lot of shit you go looking for online. It's how Covid Deniers operate. Toronto only closed nonessential businesses ( eg cinemas, gyms, hair salons, stores without an outside entrance ). transit never closed, schools eventually went to at home but were open the entire fall to in class learning ( unlike much of the US ). The fact you actually thought the streets were closed is a good example how clueless you are about Canada. If I wanted to walk around the neighborhood at 2 am I could do so safely here with no weapons or masks required. There are no police or security guards out unless an actual crime is reported; this is very rare where I live.
Issue here is I m not the one crying about Canada's situation, for all I care the place can turn into a modern stalinist state and stick maskless people on goulags, sounds par for the course. The issue is I see many Canadians sick with the situation but u claim it is BS, canadians agree with the abuse, while they play soccer in Spain, and in the US they have assault weapons, which somehow justifies ur position
It s late here and typing from phone, but u are lying, stay at home orders have been going on in Canada for months now. My physio was living and still has his GF in Winnipeg, he mentioned the lockdown getting stricter with Stay at Home order several months ago alreadu. Just noticed Stay at home order was still im place late May. Nuts. Oh, in Ontario as well, sounds alright, it was all over the news, but it must be a US disinformation plot. All this with low covid infection rates, much lower than in Madrid where everything except the late nightlife was open and cases largely underreported ( luckily or willingly from the local government, contact tracing is a joke in Madrid, and many people don t go for a test even if they are close contacts. Virus travels around and it's no big deal, hospitals not overwhelmed, actually less busy this winter than during an usual flu season. Meet any local and on the top of head head they ll be able to name u a bunch of people who passed covid. Obviously a lot also passed it unknowingly) https://winnipeg.ctvnews.ca/emergen...o-remind-manitobans-to-stay-at-home-1.5438807 https://news.ontario.ca/en/release/...ctions-as-stay-at-home-order-is-set-to-expire
Make up your mind. If you don't care about Canada's situation, stop whining about it online. If you have issues with your perception of what is going on in Canada, for starters you'd have to understand what is actually going on in Canada. It just seems that some of you are thick and don't know how to comprehend the world. I mean. we had days here in Toronto when it was 31-33 degrees high Celsius and some dummy was posing pictures of igloos and saying the lake is still iced over. That's just incredibly dumb.
Climate is not something I care too much about, although u don t look serious when u write u ve had the AC on for 2 months and touched 30 only a couple of times. Are u actually starting the ac any time it stops freezing ? Nah, don t care much about Canada, now think it s a shameful shithole I won t visit as a tourist for a good decade ( it was near the top of my list before covid when moving back to Europe). But it s an interesting case of discussion when it comes to messed up covid related policies, plus this thread is lively with the intervention of clowns like urself who do their best to outdo all memes ridiculing Canada which abound on the web. Thanks for entertainment, worth mentioning it is free and subsided by Canadian education and mainstream media, in case anyone planned to move there.
You don't seem to understand what a "stay at home" order was referring to. During this time, transit was running, our streets were 100% open, I even had dentist appointments. My wife continues to shop at Costco every week it never closed. The local parks and playgrounds that were actually closed at some points last summer were open in May. Every period of restrictions involved numerous discretionary items that changed as medical knowledge changed. However, OUR STREETS NEVER CLOSED. There were limited time periods where the City recommended people stay home early in some waves, but we were under no legal requirement to do so. EVER. The problem here is the facts don't fit your narrative. So you fell compelled to declare me a liar. THIS IS HOW COVID DENIERS OPERATE.
That s what I mean by the steets were closed, standard lockdowns with Stay at home orders implemented Spring last year in many European countries. Only essential shops open.
Read what you posted. The streets never closed. Even at the most restricted times, we can walk the streets all night, go shopping in many of the stores, make use of any service deemed "essential". Why do you have such a hard time understanding this ?
